The Team has a new robot design, constructed by Dhruv, which is more compact, more sturdy, and more stable, and should be more maneuverable around the board. Attached to the front of the robot is a "plow" attachment made by Chow-Fong and Gabrielle, to help with the Changing Conditions mission (15 points) and perhaps other missions as well.
Also, courtesy of Gabrielle, we have a platform model for the Apprenticeship mission, for which the team will get 20 points just for bringing this model to the competition. Also, with the help of Pranit and Dhruv, Gabrielle was able to use the robot to push the model into the proper position on the game board, bringing another 15 points to the team. Well Done!

For the first robot I think that it could be easier to do the missions on the board

Robot Allowable Equipment
17 - LEGO Elements in Original Condition - Everything you have at the field for mission-related activity (robot,
attachments, and strategic objects) must be made entirely of LEGO-manufactured elements in original factory condition.
Exceptions:
— LEGO string and tubing may be cut to length.
— You may hold/reference a paper list to keep track of robot programs.
— Marker may be used only in hidden areas, for ownership identification.
n Stickers are not allowed, except LEGO stickers, applied per LEGO instructions.
n Paint, tape, glue, lubricants, zip-ties, etc. are not allowed.
18 - Regular Elements - You may use as many non-electric LEGO elements as you like, including pneumatics, rubber
bands, and string, and they may be from any source or set (MINDSTORMS®/TECHNIC/DUPLO®/ BIONICLE™/STAR
WARS™/HARRY POTTER™/etc.).
Exception: Factory-made wind-up/pull-back “motors” are not allowed.

Could someone clarify if i can use rubber bands from a lego set or not?
Excellent checking of the rules. You can certainly use rubber bands from a LEGO set. There are a few rubber bands of various (small) sizes included with the robot kit. My understanding is that you can pretty much use anything that is sold as LEGO.
For accomplishing the robot missions on the board, we need to be more efficient in our use of time; we only have 2.5 minutes to accomplish as much as we can, so we need to to better than have the robot go out, accomplish one thing, and return to base. Perhaps someone can start considering how to accomplish several missions in one robot outing, such as the Door, Apprenticeship, and either the Search Engine or the Project Based Learning missions, since they are all in the same area of the board.
