Project "How to Make A Blog" Blog

So, the team has decided to create a blog about how to build a blog, in support of the FLL project.  I think this will be an excellent experience for the team, since it is difficult to tell people how to do something if you can't do it yourself.

The blog will be located at http://patriotpanthers.blogspot.com/, and account and login information will be sent via e-mail.  In order to build the blog, the team will have to write blog posts about the various topics they learn about along the way.  Some of these topics can be

  • How to create a blog for children under the age of 13 (Dhruv)
  • How to ask parents for permission/assistance to create a blog (Jonas)
  • How to create a website (John)
  • How to create an account with a blogging/website service (Chow-Fong)
  • How to limit access to the blog -- Who can read?
  • How to handle comments -- cyberbullying, who can comment
  • How to include pictures in a blog post
  • How to include widgets and other features on the blog (like the countdown timer on the team blog)
As the team develops the blog, other topics and ideas for blog posts may present themselves.  We have some volunteers for making some of the posts above, but everyone on the team will be able to contribute a blog post on the topic of their choice.

Ideally, it would be nice to present this to one or two of the Technology classes at school.  Certainly, the team will need a way to present it to the judges at the FLL competition in January.
